Hi:) My name is Stacy Simmons!

 I am 19 years old and currently a freshman in college. I grew up in the Pumpkin Capital of the World, aka Central Illinois in small town surrounded by corn fields! haha I am going to a community college at the moment, but when I return from Africa, I will be going to a small Christian college and studying intercultural studies, which will let me do missions and church planting and telling the worldd about Jesus as a career!! wohoo!

I haven't really had the "normal family life" as most people I know do. When I was in 8th grade my mom got cancer and died less than a year later, and since then my dad and I haven't had the best relationship, but it is starting to get better, which is awesome, but it's a slow process. I have a younger brother named Austin. He is a junior in high school right now:)

I currently live in an apartment with my roommate in another small town about ten miles away from my hometown. I moved out about two months after I graduated last year. I work at a Goodwill Donation Center. Yeah, I sort things that people donate...I'm living the dream;)

Things you should know about me:

1. My favorite color is ORANGE!

2. I am outgoing

3. I go to bed early, not a joke. You will find this out quickly!

4.  I love Disney movies, Lion KIng is my all time favorite, but Tangled is close:)

5. I love to bake!

6. I love trying new things!

7. I love music, a lot.

8. Transformers is an excellent movie and Bumblebee is my favorite. I have a poster, boxers and a blanket with him on it. So don't hate;)

9. I have two tattoos! One on my foot and one on my wrist.

10. I am beyond excited for this trip and what God has in store for everyone going, along with the people there:)

11. This is the most important fact about me: I LOVE JESUS!!!

I can't wait to meet all of you on June 1! It will be a day and a trip to remember! :)
